This it is not as much a decision between Democrat and Republican as it is the necessity of keeping an arrogant, brash, selfish, ignorant person away from the codes to launch nuclear weapons. It is a fight to keep jobs in the USA and to build the American economy. Donald Trump manufactures his clothing lines abroad and brings in foreign workers to fill jobs in his casinos and hotels which can be filled by Americans in violation of the immigration guest worker guidelines. High profile generals, former C.I.A. and N.S.A. officials who usually vote Republican have gone on record that they will vote for Hillary Clinton because Trump does not have the knowledge or disposition to be Commander in Chief. Trump has said that he will order our military to commit war crimes (i.e. kill civilians and violate the Geneva Accords by torturing prisoners).
Our Active Duty Military and veterans/military retirees have been neglected and betrayed by Congress. When the number of aging veterans was reaching the level where demand for Veterans health services required increased funding and staffing to maintain the level of service, and thousands of younger Americans were involved in wars in the Middle East and deployed actively around the world, with many returning home injured and requiring medical services, Congress refused to increase VA funding. They cut funding then they voted for a sequester which called for an across the board cut to all services which slashed the VA again.
Currently there are fewer members of Congress who have ever served in the US Military in office today than at any time in modern history. The strong voices for veterans are drowned out by those who do not understand the challenges, the needs, the integrity or the importance of funding for Veterans Services. It is time that we "turn over" a LOT of seats in Congress and replace those who refuse to honor our nation's commitment to her people with those who serve and have served and will serve and who understand why it is essential that we honor our commitment to the men and women who honor us by putting their lives on the line every day for our county, our family and our neighbors.
This is what this Concert is about on September 10th. It resonates much farther than the Texas 1st District. It is a national issue, not just an East Texas or Texas issue.
You do not have to live in East Texas or actually physically come to the concert to help. We can only vote for the person running in our district. However, when we help candidates who truly have the best interest of our nation and our families etched in their hearts, they serve all of us, and their votes assist us wherever we live.
Our nation does better economically during Democratic Administrations
